The inner critic is a psychological term that refers to a part of your psyche that assesses or denigrates yourself and your work. The inner critic is often characterized as having a loud, booming voice. Or as assertively informing you that you are incorrect or should not have begun. It’s the voice that makes you feel tiny, inadequate, and suffocated.

Writing a book seems to be on everyone’s bucket list these days, but very few actually finish their book or manage to fulfill other writing dreams. Many writers fail because they do not know how to set effective writing goals and how to develop an action plan.
Writer’s block is the state of being unable to write, and/or the inability to write something new. Some believe it’s a genuine disorder, while others believe it’s “all in your head.” Regardless, we can all agree writer’s block is a painful condition that’s often difficult to overcome.
As an Author and Editor, I find joy in helping other writers make their babies come to life as I was able to do myself. There are times when I am so engulfed in an editing project that I cannot work on my writing, but that doesn’t mean that another author’s success has to sting. Remember, we’re all in this together – that’s why something like #WritingCommunity exists.

With the holidays approaching there came hope. This year she would take matters into her own hands. Though sometimes, it’s best to leave some things to the unknown and move forward.
This book was fun to write. I wrote this from the male POV. I did a lot of research on how males act and respond in certain situations. I was calling up guy friends asking them questions. When I gave them samples to read, they would tell me I nailed it. The reason I wrote it in male POV is also to challenge myself. I am a woman and experience woman emotions, but I wanted to step aside form that and see how much I could write a completely different gender POV.
After having self-publishing Positive Thinking and Life, Randomness, & A Little Eroticism, I felt good. To hold your book in your hand is the most amazing feeling in the world. I couldn’t wait to publish more books. I knew there would be no more poetry, but I also knew I wasn’t ready to write a full-length novel. That is where Betrayed & Scorned comes into play, a compilation of shorts that all go together. This you will hear more about next week.
